Real function

[edit]

This article presents, without sourcing, "real function" and "real-valued function" as synonymous. This is clearly misnomer, as nobody would call, for example, the complex absolute value a real function. Thus, I'll remove here the reference to this misnomer, and retarget the redirect "real function" to real analysis. D.Lazard (talk) 08:55, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't this page a duplicate for Function_of_a_real_variable? Super Pirata (talk) 14:56, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The topic of this page includes real valued functions of several complex variables, while Function_of_a_real_variable includes vector valued functions of a real variable. What is commonly called a real function belongs to the two topics, but is treated only in the other article. D.Lazard (talk) 15:20, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
