Could an admin kindly create this page as a redirect to Rajiv Jain (cinematographer) with a {{R from alternative name}} template? I just accepted an AFCRD request: Wikipedia:Articles_for_creation/Redirects#Redirect_request:_Rajeev_Jain. Cheers, L293D ( • ) 03:38, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There was a lot of sockpuppetry going on with this person years ago when it was locked. And now we have an SPA recreating the article with several other SPA accounts helping. While the article is better with references, I'm still a little leery about allowing this. While obviously the CU evidence is beyond stale, I think some caution is necessary here. There are a ton of socks here; I'll create an SPI and link to it here once I've finished rummaging through this very deep drawer... Yunshui  08:05, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
See Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Aakpan. I have my suspicions that this is a resurgence of the people behind the Wanurikahiu group, which would make the new page a slam-dunk G5 deletion, but like GogoDodo says, the CU for that old group is staaaaaale. The redirect request was made by one of the new sock accounts, though, so should be ignored. Yunshui  08:15, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
In fact, after a bit of deliberation and some further checking, I've decided that the likelihood of this being a continuation of the previous sock drawer is strong enough to warrant the deletion of Rajiv Jain (cinematographer), especially considering its promotional content and weak sourcing. There's therefore no target for the redirect - this article should remain protected, and this talkpage can probably be deleted (although I'll leave it for a while so that these comments can be seen by the parties involved: @L293D and Gogo Dodo:.
