It is widely discussed (up to death?) what happened after the P-wave. The end written in the article is not present in the book. Gorbovsky was not piloting Tariel from Rainbow before the wave. Gorbovsky is present in other books of Noon Universe describing the events after Rainbow disaster. Possible variants: underground facilities were succesfully built, some people were able to survive; the P-wave diffused, as rumours about calculation by Lamondua, Pagawa and Patrick stated; ...; Strugatsky brothers simply decided to use the same heroes in other books. It is highly possible that this questions were discussed in online-interview with Boris Strugatsky. The end of the article is plainly wrong. --- Misha Stepanov

Well, from my point of view, only one statement may be regarded as "wrong" - Nearly all adults who happened to be on the planet (including all scientists) perished. I admit that this is a possibly wrong assumption, however, in the article about "Faraway Rainbow", I've tried to make it clear that the ending of the novel has been deliberately left open. :) EDITED: --Koveras 14:04, 14 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
The statement that Tariel II was piloted by Gorbovky is confusing. He was piloting Tariel II in general, but was not piloting it during the evacuation of children. About "perished" --- it is not written, and nobody knows. --- Misha Stepanov
Is that better now? And if anyone wants to know what happened to Gorbosky, they are welcome to read the Faraway Rainbow article. --Koveras 11:52, 15 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It is better. The point that there is correct information somewhere else is strange. Why provide anything here? --- Misha Stepanov 07:04, 16 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
The better term is "commanded", not "piloted". It is worth mentioning that during the evacuation the ship was piloted by Stanislav Pishta. --Michagal 16:25, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
