Talk:R.T. Claridge

THIS PAGE EXISTS IN ERROR. Several articles and archives have the link Captain R.T. Claridge. These links worked fine until an erroneous renaming of the Claridge article. I took care of that, but I didn't realise in the process that the erroneous renaming had included putting a space between the R and T. What this means of course (like, hello, logic 101) is that the all of the links, which don't have spaces between the initials R and T, suddenly don't work.

On realising this, the OBVIOUS solution is simply to rename the Claridge article so that there is no space between the letters. SIMPLE HUH!!! No degree needed, nothin'. It might require a couple of moves to get back to the original name, but there's nothing really tricky about that logic either. Wow!! Like solutions are possible if they aren't prevented!!!

However, now the mere existence of this redirect prevents that, as I've found in trying to simply work around the problem. So rather than live in some sort of Alice-in-Wonderland world, which I'm sure is entertaining to some, very basic logic would dictate that if we delete the redundant redirect, we can work back towards some semblance of sanity. I intend to achieve nothing less than that. Wotnow (talk) 06:09, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. I hope there is someone who can help and is willing to help. As for pages linking to this redirect, what a surprise. They used to go straight to the relevant article before Alice-in-Wonderland surreality prevailed. I mean hello? Wotnow (talk) 06:18, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

'Update: The issue has been resolved courtesy of ϢereSpielChequers, including some helpful feedback from WereSpielChequers and  Glenfarclas . I am satisfied that all is well, and that this and other related redirects serve a useful function, and I am happy to stand corrected. Wotnow (talk) 07:01, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
