Proposed merger with Import quota[edit]

I would have to vote "Nay". Because the disambig page Quota lists so many other "quotas" and it seems like branching off articles per industry makes sense. --Emana 00:40, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

i think I would vote no as well... I don't think I've ever heard a trade quota referred to as a "quota share." I think that's just more confusing.Mgunn 05:52, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's been almost two weeks since the proposal went up. I will be removing the sections that are just referring to other articles and leave the General section intact. I'll also fix the quota (disambiguation) page to reflect that. -- Emana 18:54, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actual definition of "quota share"[edit]

"Quota share" ≠ "Quota".

"Quota" is the limit imposed on the number of something OR the specified number available of something. "Quota share" is a percentage of that quota that each individual entity has the right to. Think of "quota" as the pie and "quota share" as the slices. Therefore, there is much more to be considered on this article even before the merger. Emana 20:51, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
