The Chimps in the Movie

[edit]

Does anyone know what ever happened to the chimps in the movie? Were they placed in zoos, other research programs, other movies?

According to the Internet, Okko and Willie are at Primarily Primates Inc., "the now nearly 30-year-old northwest Bexar Co. animal sanctuary" founded by Wallace Swett. See this article for dismaying reports about neglect and inadequate care. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 205.201.141.146 (talk) 16:23, 26 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]
Primarily Primates has been completely updated and is now run by different people. Please see their article here on Wikipedia by clikcing on the blue link. The two chimps, The ones who played Virgil and his Girlfriend (who was played by a male chimp) still live there. You can even go to their website and see the enclosures that chimps have to live in. They are very well kept now. There was a dispute some time ago, involving large amounts of money and accusations made by a former employee. The courts found in favor of the current managers of the refuge. Wally Swett has had nothing to do with the place for a very long time although he did found the sanctuary originally. Sequel?

[edit]

Did they have a contract for the sequel, Project Y? :) USN1977 (talk) 23:05, 29 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This film is stupid and terrible

[edit]

This film is about as intelligent as "AirBud". Do yourself a favor and dont see it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.175.48.89 (talk) 21:09, 29 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Drama or comedy-drama?

[edit]

I just changed the page from "comedy-drama" to "drama". This is subjective, but this is mostly a dramatic movie, and not so much comedy. The whole premise is about animal testing and the somewhat cruel nature of the program. There are a few comedic moments in it, but not enough to classify it as a split.

The comedy drama page sums it up as "most of the time there is an equal measure of both" comedy and drama. Project X does not fit that description. MikeUMA (talk) 02:39, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
