"In some works of fantasy..."[edit]

What non-M:tG sources use planeswalkers as characters (using the term "planeswalker" and not just alternate universes, plane travel, etc.)? If there are other notable sources, they should be added and this page made less Magic-centric; it there aren't, maybe this page should be merged with another Magic article? 68.53.127.229 (talk) 15:43, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

a planeswalkers life force is contained in their consciousness, not their brain. Teferi gets stabbed through the brain and survives. There have also been remarks throughout the book series that when a Planeswalker is dying they start having difficulty concentrating, holding their form together, or even keeping their non-physical selves in tact. I don't have any direct quote or ref to back this though. But I definitely know that a Planswalker can survive if you destroy their brain, its just a physical manifestation of their former selves that they can live without.

There most probally is discrepencies between books let alone the books and the game

I don't think the myojin would be planeswalkers because they have their own cards and Wizards says that they don't make cards of planeswalkers (unless it's before or after the character became a planeswalker like Teferi and Jaya).

I think we need to add some more details of how Planeswalkers actually fight. They sling spells, yes, but as shown in the Future Sight novel, some do carry swords and staves and other such equipment. --Preanubis (talk) 11:04, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think that Jeska and Karn were Planeswalkers. If I remember correctly, Jeska was the sister of Kamahl, a barbarian warrior, who was corrupted and became Phage. Karn was a golem created by Urza.

I may be wrong, though.

Corrected the name of a planeswalker, Tevesh Szat from Tvesh. Tevesh is showcased a lot during Ice Age and Invasion blocks for reference. -Tyler

Karn became planeswalker after Urza's death.

From the perspective of the card game, aren't the players suppoed to be Planeswalkers? (Darien Shields 21:14, 14 August 2005 (UTC))[reply]

Karn infused Jeska with some of his own flesh to heal her wound from the Mirari Sword. I guess some of Karn's powers were transfered to her

Her spark was ignited. She was the only survivor of the trio that formed Karona, because she was a proto-planeswalker. Noneofyourbusiness 20:05, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the bolded portion of the following sentence as a form of patent nonsense:

Yawgmoth is, in fact, not a planeswalker, thought does gain the ability or form of pure black mana, and it is uncertain as to the actual status of Marit Lage as a planeswalker or not.

I'm not very familiar with MTG lore (although I enjoy the game very much), so I would appreciate it if somebody could explain what that statement may have meant. In fact, just put that information right in the article. Thanks!

Fair use rationale for Image:Chandra Nalaar.jpg[edit]

Image:Chandra Nalaar.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Cards Section[edit]

The "Cards" section is getting ridiculously huge as a new set comes out. We either need to fork the section to a new page or maybe have the names of the Planeswalker and note which sets he/she were in. For example:

Elspeth Tirel (ALA, SOM)

Jace Beleren (LRW, WWK, M12)

Just a suggestion since I've been noticing the Cards section eat up the rest of the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ChaoticHeavens (talkcontribs) 17:13, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dragon's Maze is listed as a large expansion currently but it is a small expansion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.203.222.87 (talk) 18:10, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I BROKE IT D:[edit]

I'm really sorry I tried to fix a spelling error and one of my add-ons removed everything it recognized as the name of a card and I can't revert it because it will keep all the card names off please fix this TT.TT — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.190.101.254 (talk) 23:54, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
