Merge?

[edit]

I would say a clear no - the article is too long to be integrated properly, and since its clearly a different topic anyway a merge would be wrong. Thedreamdied 22:49, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd !vote to merge, because it's generally covered under Photoshopping in terms of applications... without the trivia, which should probably be removed anyway, it's easily a permastub which, IMHO, should be merged into a bigger article on a wider topic, which might eventually reach FA, if enough documentation and topic info can be found. The result was to merge photoshopping into photo editing, also known as photo manipulation, as a section. That was done a while back. Dicklyon 02:34, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite?

[edit]

This article needs a re-rewrite completely. In most areas, it sounds like it's talking about a specific forum or something that the original writer is familiar with. I'm sure it's not intentional but this article would be very hard to understand for someone that isn't already familiar with the concept. BrknPhoenix 01:13, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The image Image:Lukket-50s-computer-HOAX.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Pictures

[edit]

Can anyone explain the "Pictures" section to me? The pictures themselves seem to be some nice enough examples of photocompositing - which would be lovely if that were what the article was about. They don't illustrate or explain anything about photoshop contests. I imagine some well-chosen, well-annotated examples would be the ideal way to show how a photoshop contest works: as it is, these images don't help the article at all. I hope to be disabused of the ungenerous suspicion that it's just a weak excuse to show off some photoshops. Absent that, I intend to delete the section. • Lainagier • talk • 11:45, 28 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just because you found them not helpful doesn't mean it is not helpful. Each person has different perspective. You think people who posted pictures up in Wikipedia are trying to show off? Nobody is trying to show off my friend. Simply they just think the pictures will help the readers somehow that you don't see it. I can't really explain to you. All i can say it based off from different people opinion.Trongphu (talk) 22:02, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Please explain how they are helpful. • Lainagier • talk • 14:12, 14 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
