Initial Comments:

The article is reasonably laid out and has an appropriate number of examples.

Suggestions:

- It might be nice to see some conditions in the lead scheme. Also, the drawings are all very big when viewed on my screen. Can we please stick to standard sized, ACS-style ChemDraw schemes?

- The reaction mechanism could use some bold numbers to describe intermediates. More details on specific evidence to support Petasis' proposal would be nice. Do alkylborates like 3' react with pre-formed iminium ions to generate products directly?

- The mechanistic proposal for the thiourea-catalyzed reaction is interested. Have they distinguished between a contact ion pair in which the chloride is bound to thiourea, and the drawn mechanism? Or is this speculation? Fine either way, but let the reader know.

- I see you are in the midst of adding more examples. Great.
