Why did someone change the title of the painting? The Painting is called "Peasant Girl, spinning" - That is the title that the artist Elihu Vedder names it in is autobiography The Digressions of V (Boston and New York: Houghton Mifflin, 1910), p. 465.
I wrote this entry because I was researching the painting. I thought I was making a valuable contribution to Wikipedia's knowledge base of works by Elihu Vedder.
However, some do-gooder, and someone who is clearly both not an art historian, and obviously unfamiliar with Vedder's naming conventions for his own paintings, went and changed the title of the painting. The title of the painting is "Peasant Girl, spinning". Could someone please help me change it back, and the page name.
What is up now is incorrect and misleading to researchers, however well meant the edit may have been.

- Hi George, thanks for letting me know. The user called Melonplace (contributions) created "Draft:Peasant Girl Spinning" with attributable revisions before creating a separate page at Peasant girl spinning in the mainspace. I believe I moved the page after reading up on in-line references on the page itself (which may understandably (?) have been lax on the capitalization and comma). I noticed the page needed a histmerge as well, so please consider my actions back in June simply maintenance. I'll correct the title while I can. With regards to your edit summary at Special:Diff/781770111, please read up on Wikipedia:Ownership of content and be wary of our policies here on Wikipedia. Thanks — Andy W.
