Edit

There is a community of Hindus in India [2]. And they are also called Gohil dynasty (Gehlot Rajput) who came from Rajasthan towards Bihar. Generally Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand of India. Are found in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Paswan caste has reservation for Scheduled Castes [3] under Article 341 [3] and 342 of Indian constitution. The number of Paswan caste is very high in Bihar, Jharkhand, the history of Paswan caste has been very glorious, Baba Chauharam is his revered and heritage. Baba Chauharamal's history is believed to be associated with Mokama in Bihar province, he is worshiped with great pomp in Bihar, and his fair also appears in Mokama Tall in which the Number of Rshnikon not wanna above 5 million King in Nepal Shalhesh also were given Paswan, they have worshiped other places around Nepal and Nepal is very famous and is that with great splash. Paswan is a heroic community. Their migration from one place to another was the most important. It is evident from the many authentic resources that he came from Rajasthan and Delhi along with Rana Lakha of Mewar (1382-1421) to Varanasi and Gaya in Bihar to protect the Alha / Udal / Amar Singh Rathore temples. Rana Lakh was killed in the operation and Paswan settled there and other nearby places without any land or property. Many also returned. Their history is very recent in this part of India and mostly taken from British writings Paswan is traditionally a community of chowkidars and belongs to Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and other states. The community is concentrated in Purvanchal, especially in Varanasi, Chandauli, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Ghazipur, Ballia, Gorakhpur Deoria, Siddharthnagar, Basti, Bahraich, Sant Kabir Nagar, Mau, Jaunpur, Lucknow, Azamgarh. They have migrated to all states. According to the 2001 census, Bihar has a population of Paswan (4,029,450 [1]. The caste constitutes 3-5% of the population in the state. They are also found in the border areas of West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh along with Bihar. The community sub-. Practices caste symmetry. Araria, Arwal, Aurangabad, Banka, Begusarai, Bhabua, Bhagalpur, Bhojpur, Buxar, Darbhanga, East Champaran, Gaya, Gopalganj, Jamui, Jehanabad, Katihar, Khagaria, Kishanganj, Lakhi in Bihar Rai, Lakhisarai, Lakhisarai, Lakhisarai, Bihar are mostly dusadh communities., Munger, Muzaffarpur, Nalanda, Nawada, Patna, Purnia, Rohtas, Saharsa, Samastipur, Saran, Shekhar, Shikhapura, Sitamarhi, Siwan, Supaul, Vaishali, West Champaran, Jharkhand to Ranchi, Lohardaga, Gumla, Simdega, Palamu, Palamu, Palamu Garhwa, West Singhbhum, Siraikela, Kharsawan, East Singhbhum, Dumka, Jamtara, Sahebganj, Pakur, Godda, Thousand Orchard, Chatra, Koderma, Giridih, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Deoghar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Orissa (Delhi))), (Madhya Pradesh (migrated)) and other State. Dusadhs were not historically associated with rearing of pigs.

The info given in the wikipedia regarding the occupation of dusadhs is completely wrong. This kind of wrong info certainly tampers the image of a community. Its really absurd that at one side martial pursuits are bestowed upon dusadhs while on other side they are shown as pig rearers. They were primarily employed as watchmen and soldiers. I kindly request the admins to either prove me wrong or change the incorrect information. Thank you. Sunny313356u (talk) 10:06, 17 April 2020 (UTC)

Hello. You should cite reliable resources which says the same. Otherwise you shouldn't edit or even touch that part of the article. Thank You.ItWiki97 (talk) 09:34, 27 May 2020 (UTC)ItWiki97

Hello, I have added to the profession of dusadhs, its clearly mentioned in the HH RISLEY, The Tribes and caste of Bengal (1892) that the occupation of dusadhs was as village watchmen and messengers, i would kindly request you to go through it. Would also urge all my fellow wikipedians to go through it. This is the most authentic source as it was the first ever full scale research of all the castes present in Bihar ( that time was part of Bengal ).

Thank you. Sunny313356u (talk) 19:03, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

/*Removing edit which has no reliable source. It is self-imposed for their caste glorification*/

@Sunny313356u Hello. The given article edit which says "meaning Sentinel or Defender or Worthy of praise" is self-imposed which has no reliable sources mentioning it like that. So, I am going to remove that part from Paswan. And if you think that my edit was no good faith edit then, then we can have a third Wikipedian who can check the reliability of your said edit on the mentioned article. Also, that part in the article which says that Within Dusadh folklore, he symbolizes the victory of the community over the Bhumihar oppressors is self-imposed by the people from this caste to glorify their caste. The reference which says so that Within Dusadh folklore, he symbolizes the victory of the community over the Bhumihar oppressors also states that in some folk versions sung by the Dusadh travelling singers, Chuharmal is remembered as a "deified bandit" who "defies landlords by stealing their lands and cattle in order to improve the welfare of poor Dusadh Community". So, I don't think that that part should be added in the article for Personal profits of this group. For all other wikipedians, I would like to say that the given part is just made for the political gains of some community.

Have a good day. ItWiki97 (talk) 07:53, 24 May 2020 (UTC)ItWiki97

Inter caste section

I don't think adding it is a big issue as Maratha article contains it and paswans are most involved community in intercaste violence.Either as perpetrators or as victims. In fact these source books also contains them and describes caste war in volume as it is a significant part of Bihar's history. If anyone is offended let's discuss it here. Heba Aisha (talk) 04:33, 5 July 2020 (UTC)

Ssachinaryan.01 Why did you revert my edits? it is well established that Paswans belong to Dalit category, why are you repeatedly identifying them as "Rajput"? Narendra PatelK (talk) 05:10, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

I have read many articles like this in books and on internet that Paswan is Gehlot Rajput who has come from Rajasthan. Those who came to Bihar became Paswan. You can search and read. Yes it is true that Paswan is known from Dalit caste in Bihar. But what is right should be told. Wikipedia tells history and giving accurate information is a Wikipedian's first thing. that set. I also discussed with many people, then I had to change article. Please revert this article. Ssachinaryan.01 (talk) 06:54, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
What you have read is not the mainstream academic opinion on the issue, It's well known that many lower caste groups in India claim past links with upper caste groups in an attempt to raise their social status. While such alt-history claims do have a place in the relevant section of wiki article, they out not to be posted in the intro itself, especially in a definitive manner as it leads to confusion.Ssachinaryan.01 also reference the articles and books that you have read on this topic here, I want to have a look. Narendra PatelK (talk) 12:46, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
You are right.. Ssachinaryan.01 (talk) 05:35, 20 February 2022 (UTC)

"Dusadh" Please correct or delete these lines

Reports indicates that the Dusadh landless women were often subjected to undignified teasings like "pinching on breast" by their landlords who were primarily Rajputs. The landlords also raped these women frequently in order to keep their men in subversive position. [7], Dusadh man are kill to that person who teased his women, so please add the same thing delete the above lines from the wikipedia. 2409:4050:2E87:3B08:0:0:5548:5F14 (talk) 15:39, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
