Been to Passive Aggressive Notes? Too passive aggressive to leave your thoughts on the PAN site itself? TMHQ regular? User:Unholyghost2003 (talk | contribs) at 17:08, 29 February 2008.

There's more than one Photoshop Disaster blog - there's also the famous one

[edit]

Although this blog is labeled PSDisasters, when it or commenters refer to it, it's "Photoshop Disasters". This is the blog against whom the Ralph Lauren Corp infamously issued a DMCA take-down with a claim of copyright infringement. In 2009, Photoshop Disasters published and skewered a RL ad when the company severely distorted a model's body. http://www.psdisasters.com/2009/09/ralph-lauren-we-are-determined-to-outdo.html Blogger complied with the request and shut Photoshop Disasters down. When Boing Boing sprung to the site's defense and likewise posted the photo and PSD's story, they, too received a take-down request. But their ISP stood by them while other sites spoke out. RL withdrew the DCMAs, took responsibility for the distorted image, and promised not to do it again (that promise didn't last very long). Blogger subsequently restored Photoshop Disasters site.
