How's this for sourcing? From the Jan. 15, 1986 Houston Post:

Sorry, I've never tried to put image links in Wikipedia before and it's not as intuitive as it seems. You can see the images at:

Hi, thanks for the info, but unfortunately the source you cite from aren't acceptable. Scans of newspaper clippings don't count as a verifiable format, especially as you intend to take them offline. Please read Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:Citing sources. Please incorporate the below information in the article in some form or another so that it is able to be cross-checked by someone else. There is no strict rule about the way you lay it out but it needs, at the very least:

  • Name of publication
  • Name of author
  • Date

Also your info must be consistent with that stated in the cited article, i.e. no extraneous or personal comments.

Sources:

Falkoff, Robert. "Jazz halts Rocket streak at 20", The Houston Post, 1986-01-15, p. 1H.

Harasim, Paul. "Mannion fan club prevents Rockets from keeping the pace", The Houston Post, 1986-01-15, p. 3A.

Everything I wrote can be sourced to those articles.

I'm done here. If someone else wants to put back the info, feel free.
