The Hunger Project, 1981 Resolution

[edit]
  • Any insertion about The Hunger Project on this page has no relevance to Oxfam Canada.Jcoonrod 15:39, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • On May 30, 1981 the national board of directors of Oxfam International, Canada passed a resolution, which stated they would not endorse any activities or programs sponsored by The Hunger Project, nor would they accept funds from the project. The fact that this event occurred in 1981 is true and facual, and stated in a NPOV manner. It was a resolution passed by Oxfam Canada, relating to another nonprofit organization, and is relevant to the article at hand and of interest to the reader.Smeelgova 03:23, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
      • First, the name is "Oxfam Canada" not "Oxfam International Canada." Second, I dispute that - even if such a "non-endorsing" resolution were taken in 1981 - whoever heard of NGOs "endorsing" each other? What possible meaning and relevance would "not endorsing" something have? THP has a long history of cooperation with Oxfam, no history of conflicts with Oxfam, has received money from Oxfam, has given money to Oxfam, etc. In whose opinion could this have the slightest relevancy to anyone?Jcoonrod 13:03, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • The event is relevant and factual, as stated above, and will be interesting to the reader to note interactions between NGO's, just as stated above by prior commenter.Smeelgova 14:57, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
