New updates[edit]

Though we shouldn't include speculation on the page; it really is quite obvious by now, especially post 392, that Orochimaru is the 8-tailed beast; or more accurately 8-headed biju

Anyway can someone please update the page. We need to add in Oro's 392 appearance, and also add in his hydra form in the abilities section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.238.175.221 (talk) 08:39, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orochimaru's hydra form/ability does, I think, deserve inclusion for at lest two reasons: 1) Itachi is aware of it 2) it's bigger than Manda, at least it would seem.

However, we cannot, b/c it is speculation, add anything about Orochimaru being the 8-tails simply because this has.... well, 8 heads I think it does settle his relation to the Orochi legends, being slain by Susano and all Ring Finger (talk) 21:51, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree at less it should be said at lest about him being sealed by Susano --Rofur (talk) 02:09, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

All of this is bullshit speculation. Mention that when he emerged from Sasuke's body, he was in that fucked-up snake thing. That's all. No mention of legends; it wouldn't make sense anyways, since Orochimaru wields a sword that in traditional legend was wielded by Susanoo, if I recall correctly. Correction: the sword was found inside the 8-headed, 8-tailed snake (Orochi), and Susanoo took it after he killed Orochi. The whole Itachi vs. Orochimaru sub-battle was a reference to that legend, but regardless, while Naruto's Orochimaru has elements from that legend, most people reading the article don't have any knowledge of Japanese mythology so it's pointless to add. 75.157.115.154 (talk) 05:49, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Kabuto[edit]

Ummm... before this reaches it's GA-Review, I'd like to point out that Kabuto absorbing some of Orochimaru's remains isn't really mentioned. Artist Formerly Known As Whocares (talk) 20:37, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It wasn't really made clear, but in chapter 489 Anko says something about Orochimaru's will influencing Kabuto, so he's technically still alive. 75.157.115.154 (talk) 05:43, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just to comment, there really isn't a given name for that form. It was only referred to as "Is that your true form?" or whatever by Sasuke, and we just went with that. Artist Formerly Known As Whocares (talk) 16:24, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok I will take that into account. Cheers! Mww113 (talk) (Report a mistake!) 19:57, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How Many?[edit]

Should we mention how many bodies Orochimaru took over? There was his original body, which he discarded after Itachi amputated his hand, and then there was the woman's body, and then the guy he took over just before Sasuke arrived. That's three. Any I missed? 207.216.220.171 (talk) 05:55, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
