Honors of the Verkhovna Rada

[edit]

The section Honors of the Verkhovna Rada added by @Stansfield doesn't mention sources and could lead to confusion. When looking for the medals mentioned, the Орден "Єдність та воля" and Білий хрест "Честь і слава", one gets the impression they were created by ВТО «Орден», the company of Alexander Mikhailovich Sopov, rather than having been installed by government decree. See the Орден "Єдність та воля" and Білий хрест "HONOR ET GLORIA" Dissatisfied with the way Ukrainian decorations are awarded, an open decoration system was proposed in 2012 by Ukrainian phalerist Sopov, which gives everyone the right and opportunity to independently award a person who, in his or her opinion, has performed a heroic act, remarkable achievement or special merit. He calls this open system of public awards "Badges of National Honour".[1] As there seems to be no government decree that installs these medals, and to avoid confusion, IMO the section Honors of the Verkhovna Rada should be removed.
