I think this article and also South Azeri language should be deleted. Because we Iranian azerbaijanis outselves and northern azerbaijanis and also other iranians and Turks and ... never seperate the azerbaijani language to northern and southern or anything else. There is only one Azerbaijani language. In Azerbaijani, Persian, Turkish and ..., there is no synonym or equal meaning for North Azeri language and South Azeri language. (To be sure, you can see the interwiki.) If there should be any difference between the languages spoken in Azerbaijan and Iranian Azarbaijan, it's surely dialect differences, not whole another language.

The ISO 639-3 standard separates them and there is at least one bibliographical source that separates them. If you disagree with ISO 639-3, then you should fill out the paperwork and submit it to have them linked together. (Taivo (talk) 13:19, 11 September 2009 (UTC))[reply]
