Fair use rationale for Image:Candan-neden.jpg[edit]

Image:Candan-neden.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Requested move 5 February 2017[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: moved to Neden (Candan Erçetin album). Bit of a mess really. Clearly, post the creation of the new article about an album called Neden, the majority of participants felt it should be moved back to the old (pre-2009) title. I was not particularly convinced by the primary topic arguments either way (i.e. whether this article is or if there isn't one) and therefore am happy to call the majority (4–1) a consensus in this case. Neden (album)NedenNeden currently redirects to Vagina, for which it is a slang term, but it is not common enough to be mentioned on its target page. “Neden” is the name of this album and should therefore target this article, taking precedence over uncommon slang. Redirecting it here would create an unnecessary disambiguation, so I propose moving this article to Neden. Gorobay (talk) 17:34, 5 February 2017 (UTC) --Relisting. Andrewa (talk) 20:51, 12 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Sorry, but "Neden" (Turkish "Why?") is naturally a very common Turkish word and not surprisingly there are two Neden albums on Turkish Wikipedia: Neden (İbrahim Tatlıses album) and Neden (Candan Erçetin album) (which is the original full title of this article before the artist name was removed). On the other hand the current redirect to Vagina is childish, it should replaced with a dab page - also mentioning the TV show tr:Neden? hosted by Can Dündar, and all three items headed by a { wiktionary } tag which will send those with linguistic interest to Wiktionary. In ictu oculi (talk) 19:29, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • No need to be sorry: that is all perfectly reasonable. As you know, Neden (İbrahim Tatlıses album) didn’t exist when I requested this move, but now that it is does, “Neden” is ambiguous. Gorobay (talk) 15:04, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks In ictu oculi (talk) 15:11, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support some move. In ictu oculi's creation of another article on a questionably notable album of the same name has confused things even more, so I've created Neden as a disambiguation page. "Neden" certainly shouldn't be redirecting to vagina which doesn't mention the term. For those creating articles to affect move discussions, some effort should be made to ensure that readers can actually find them.--Cúchullain t/c 17:29, 9 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You really should have waited till the discussion was over. To not wait and then criticize others for waiting is even worse. It also doesn't make sense to object when editors expand the article corpus. In ictu oculi (talk) 00:12, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Creating perma-stubs on questionably notable topics to change the results of move requests is not necessarily a net gain for the encyclopedia. Especially when it creates a situation where the original term in question redirects to an article that does not and will never cover it, and there's no way to navigate between any of the articles that actually use the name.--Cúchullain t/c 01:05, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
As I said above. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:21, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
What? After you created your perma-stub, without making an effort to fix navigation, the entire discussion was thrown off. And it didn't address the central question as to why Neden should redirect to vagina, especially with no way to get to topics that actually use the name.--Cúchullain t/c 14:42, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I still think that you should have waited and let discussion take its course. Anyone would think that creating an article for the other Turkish album on tr.wp was some kind of sin. The two artists and two albums seem to be about equally notable in Turkey. In ictu oculi (talk) 22:16, 12 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No point in waiting after you created an album that couldn't be navigated to. And no, it's not a problem to create good content, the problem is creating weak, poorly sourced content just to alter the outcome of a move discussion.--Cúchullain t/c 14:43, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - Shall we do something about the albums of the same name? The quality of both articles is still poor. Unfortunately, I don't know either Spanish or Turkish language. I may consider the merger proposal of either article someday. However, that should be when the RM is over. --George Ho (talk) 08:28, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
At this stage we have two poor articles that are the only things called "Neden". Possibly sources exist in Turkish, but at this stage it seems that neither are notable enough for an article, and should be merged.--Cúchullain t/c 14:42, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Change to "(Candan Erçetin album)" and discuss merger afterwards. George Ho (talk) 04:24, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
