Xtranormal died in the summer of 2013 and its IP was bought in the spring of 2014. The reuse of Xtranormal's domain causes some confusion as to whether Nawmal's status should be documented here or on a dedicated Nawmal entry. Since Nawmal hasn't offered any actual software or services, it may not justify a dedicated entry, but it would be inaccurate to convey the notion that Nawmal is a direct continuation. This website appears to be down. I'm not sure if this is a temporary issue or if the service has been discontinued. --Dbrouse (talk) 22:50, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The current Wiki entry, if left generic like this, fails to document the tenuous health of the company. They started a new site called Tellagami and appear to be shifting focus there. They haven't made new assets for Xtranormal in 9 months. Xtranormal Desktop is still Beta after almost a year and hasn't seen an update since June. If there were any news sources that investigated recent goings on at Xtranormal, I'd provide citations, but it no longer comes up in the news. So all this is anecdotal. --Mos6507 (talk) 01:12, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately we can only include it if we have adequate sources. I guess the thing to do is to keep watch in case any get published. —David Eppstein (talk) 06:56, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

-- This Wikipedia article mentions that this software is a FREE download, but it fails to mention that the "FREE" version is a very limited version and that use of the full feature set for this software requires an expensive monthly subscription. Therefore this Wikipedia page is serving as little more than a deceptive marketing tool for the manufacturer utilizing the classic "bait and switch" offer of something for free that really is not free. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.155.59.241 (talkcontribs)

Blatant advertising

[edit]

Out of date advertising for an apparently long-defunct company.
