Youngest vs fastest[edit]

Whereas LeBron was the youngest to achieve scoring levels in terms of age, do we know about who was the fastest in terms of games. For some records where we have fastest, do we know the youngest.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 15:05, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It is in the "Rookie and Age-related" section in the "Multi-game records" subsection
  • Fewest games played to reach 30,000 points
  • Fewest games played to reach 25,000 points
  • 691 by Wilt Chamberlain
  • Fewest games played to reach 20,000 points
  • 499 by Wilt Chamberlain
  • Fewest games played to reach 15,000 points
  • 358 by Wilt Chamberlain

  • Fewest games to 10k
Added. - BeFriendlyGoodSir (talk) 22:25, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • I can't find a RS, but it seems like 5k was Wilt in 133 games per [2].-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 14:24, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It is okay. It is implied that Wilt Chamberlain has every record for "Fewest games played to reach X points" and it is a record that seems unbreakable. If you are unsure about the number of games and RS source is not found, let's keep it as is. - BeFriendlyGoodSir (talk) 17:28, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Surprisingly, Michael Jordan has the record for fewest games played to reach 31,000 points and 32,000 points. Reached 31,000 points in 1,011 games and 32,000 points in 1,059 games - BeFriendlyGoodSir (talk) 19:17, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Christmas day records[edit]

Wilt Chamberlain for rebounds (36 in 1961); Guy Rodgers and Nate “Tiny” Archibald for assists (18 in 1966 and 1972, respectively); DeAndre Jordan for blocked shots (eight in 2011); Kyrie Irving for steals (seven in 2016); and Patty Mills for three-pointers made (eight in 2021) were Xmas day records before 2023 per [3]. I have already pointed out that threes was tied in 2023. Don't know about the others.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 13:11, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Good suggestion. Great addition to the article. And reference has lots. I will add it now. Thanks, - BeFriendlyGoodSir (talk) 16:58, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
NBA reference also says "Miami has the highest winning percentage among active teams on Christmas Day at .846" and "The New York Knicks have played the most games on Christmas Day with 55" and "Lakers have the most team victories on Christmas Day with 24". I might add those records to NBA records#Team franchise records, but updating this record every year might be tricky. - BeFriendlyGoodSir (talk) 17:23, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps these Christmas records should also be included on NBA Christmas Games? - BeFriendlyGoodSir (talk) 17:28, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The only other holiday that is notable is NBA Martin Luther King Jr. Day games. If you have any of those records, we can add them. - BeFriendlyGoodSir (talk) 16:59, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Found MLK records - BeFriendlyGoodSir (talk) 21:30, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Are these really the only holidays. I guess Thanksgiving and New Years Day are football holidays. I know that basketball has a lot of games on X-mas and MLK days, but what about Easter? New Years Eve?-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:18, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
NBA.com recognizes records for MLK Day and Christmas Day but not for the other holidays and they are the only ones with Wiki pages. I can't find any articles discussing records for the other holidays. I found an article about Halloween records but it's not RS. The issue would be where the cutoff is. At a certain point it would be like "Most points on february 15" or any given date which is taking it too far. If you can find RS sources or NBA.com showing the significance of Easter or New Years Eve or any other holiday, we can reevaluate. - 05:21, 23 May 2024 (UTC) BeFriendlyGoodSir (talk) 05:21, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
NFL wiki has articles for NFL on Thanksgiving Day and NFL on Christmas Day. Not any other holidays. - BeFriendlyGoodSir (talk) 05:26, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

records for NBA Global Games[edit]

NBA Global Games must have notable records. I do not have them on hand but I imagine they are out there. - BeFriendlyGoodSir (talk) 19:15, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Duo and Trio game records[edit]

Generally these are not included anywhere except a few times. These could be added when notable. - BeFriendlyGoodSir (talk) 20:11, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
