Summerfest

[edit]

Not sure about calling Summerfest the World's largest music festival. Taste of Chicago draws more over its time period than Summerfest. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.149.48.132 (talk) 03:50, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Most notably, the Love Parade (Germany) consistently draws over a million visitors each year. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.225.62.164 (talk) 23:12, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Work needed

[edit]

someone should really work on this page... for such an exciting subject the page is dry and brittle... the information cracks and falls in my brain as soon as I read it... will come back later after some research and add a little. smiles, pixie...

If you go into Edit This Page, there is one more sentence at the end of the article, which doesn't show up in the article! How can that be? Is there some kind of formatting thing that's preventing it from showing up? Laurie Fox 21:29, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User: carmenreynal Am I blind? I do not see any US, Canada or North America festivals on this page. Why? Were they listed somewhere other than with every other country in the world? --— Preceding unsigned comment added by Carmenreynal (talkcontribs) 12 aug 2018 01:34 (UTC)

What requirements for inclusion?

[edit]

My feeling is that only festivals significant enough to have a WP article should be included. If the festival has no link, or the festival is a red link I am inclined to delete them. Surely we don't want the local pub's one day festival with 3 or 4 local bands playing in this list. -- SGBailey (talk) 08:52, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Add Electric Forest

[edit]

This is an important American music festival that showcases just how good an American festival can be. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.249.234.40 (talk) 08:06, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This page is about music festivals in general. The Electric Forest Festival is already listed in List of electronic music festivals, List of jam band music festivals, List of music festivals in the United States, and List of festivals in Michigan. ~dom Kaos~ (talk) 08:04, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Adding Sources

[edit]

Hello everyone! My name is Diomarys Ramos Cruz and I am a student at the University of Puerto Rico in Cayey. I found some information which I find very interesting about the impact of music festival on young people.[1] I would like you to read it and give me your opinion. Thank you! Societal Context For Modern-Day Music Festival Experiences

[edit]

People who attend music festivals today have very different intentions and motivations behind their attendances and the experiences they want and expect to have. Today's music festivals are bright and colorful and are geared towards providing attendees with transformative experiences. How else can this be discussed and reflected in this article? There is so little here that truly conveys what music festivals are like. GS1017 (talk) 00:20, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
