Concerning copyright[edit]

As I split the episodes from List of Mr. Bean episodes, bots will compare this information with other websites. Obviously many websites use Wikipedia as their source and have, for some time, copied there information from the List of Mr. Bean episodes article. A bot of course will assume this as a WP:COPYVIO issue. Hopefully a human reading this will accept there is no issue as I am merely copying and pasting from another Wikipedia article which has been created and edited over time solely by Wikipedia editors using their own words. ~~ Peteb16 (talk) 01:19, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Golden Rose Award[edit]

As far as I can see from the short reference, the Golden Rose was given to the whole show, not just a single episode (compare with the other winners - Benny Hill Show, etc). --Randykitty (talk) 17:29, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've found another reference which clarifies that it was this episode that received the award. [1] ~~ Peteb16 (talk) 18:10, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Locations[edit]

Stanmer House, Brighton, East Sussex. Used as the exterior of the Examination Hall that Mr Bean visits at the start of the episode.

Peacehaven Beach, East Sussex. The steps Mr Bean is seen walking down to get to the beach.

Stanmer Church, Brighton, East Sussex. The stretch of ground outside the Church where Mr Bean reverses his car into the parking space, pushing the other car into the road.

Corner of Downland Avenue and Headlands Close, Peacehaven, East Sussex. At the end of the episode (Mr Bean), Mr Bean drives his car quickly round the corner, a few seconds later a crash is heard and a car tyre bounces into view!

Candy in pocket[edit]

"The sweet stuck in Bean's coat pocket would later be used as paste for a postage stamp in "Mr. Bean Rides Again"." This information is incorrect. In "Mr.Bean" he put sweet in his right pocket but in "Mr. Bean Rides Again" the sweet he uses as paste is in his left pocket. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.108.108.97 (talk) 14:21, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"Bean snickers to himself for deceiving him?"[edit]

This interpretation seems unlikely. The sketch is contrived and requires the following assumptions: 1. That the students taking the exam have a choice between doing a paper on calculus and a paper on trigonometry. 2. That two students, here called Bean and Bown, are unaware of this despite the fact all students should be aware before they arrive. 3a. Bean believes the paper is on trigonometry while 3b. Bown believes the paper is on calculus. (it possible Bown is bluffing Bean in this regard but seems unlikely). Mr. Bean genuinely believes that the exam is on trigonometry, this contrived mistake in a fundamental element of the sketch. Surely he snickers because he genuinely believes Bown has revised the wrong thing, thus creating irony when subsequently seems Bean, himself, has. The suggestion Bean is "deceiving" Bown requires that he's saying something he knows isn't true and, as the sketch depends on him being ignorant of the actual nature of the exam, this is hard to support. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.40.35.194 (talk) 03:48, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
