Canonical expression

[edit]

@Zoozaz1: I disagree with your recent page move, because "Moscow, Third Rome" is the canonical expression used to describe what the article is about. Veverve (talk) 21:22, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Veverve, Could you show some sources that phrase it like that in English? Briefly glancing at the article, I don't see English sources that specifically refer to it like that in the title. Zoozaz1 (talk) 21:28, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Zoozaz1: Expressions used are either "Moscow - Third Rome" (e.g. here), or "Moscow the Third Rome" (e.g. here, here). The canonical expression in Russian is "Москва — Третий Рим" which literally translates to "Moscow — Third Rome", and a more dynamic translation would be "Moscow, Third Rome" as I put before. Veverve, That makes sense, I'm fine with moving it back. Zoozaz1 (talk) 12:12, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
