Callout Order

[edit]

I am adding a callout order to the article. Real96 01:25, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Table

[edit]

I have commented out the table and will delete it if good reasons why it should stay are provided here. The table provides no information that isn't already available and is confusing because the call-out order does not represent the actual placement order as delegates are called out randomly. Furthermore, the order was clearly not in order of placement which adds to the confusion. I see no need for such a table in this article. -- PageantUpdatertalk | contribs | esperanza 07:42, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pageant Updater, please see WP:OWN. IMHO, it's not confusing but is visually helpful to people who are not able to perceive text well enough. If you are going to remove the table, I am calling for administration intervention. Cheers. Real96 08:22, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not claiming I "own" anything... I'm telling you the table is misleading and suggesting it be commented out until we get some consensus on whether it is needed and if so, what changes could be made to make it more factual and less confusing. Until we get such consensus, it should remain commented out (and as such I will revert back to the commented out version). It's fine to get annoyed, but until you actually elaborate on why a table listed in such an arbitrary fashion is necessary please respect the opinions of other editors. -- PageantUpdatertalk | contribs | esperanza 08:27, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Basically what I'm saying is that the title makes it misleading because it suggests the delegates are ordered by placement - but the list is simply the call out order which is random (as made clear during the broadcast). I've had another look at it and will add it back in but re-order according to the actual scores. The problem is that as no score was shown for Nevada it is a bit hit-and-miss. I'm not sure whether we'll ever find out NV's score. -- PageantUpdatertalk | contribs | esperanza 08:31, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ok I've fixed it now. Basically I've removed the prelims column because we do not know the order of placement in prelims, and have reordered the other columns according to the actual scores. Now it has been fixed up I think the table is actually quite effective. Apologies for my slightly bolshy comments earlier. -- PageantUpdatertalk | contribs | esperanza 08:45, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

(reduce indent) Sorry about the semi-hostile attitude about this discussion. Thanks for deciding to leave the table in the article because I worked very hard on it. Real96 18:08, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Looking it after having a sleep (!) I actually really like it and will think of adding it to the previous years' articles. -- PageantUpdatertalk | contribs | esperanza 20:54, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Citation for scores

[edit]

The scores were shown during the live broadcast and were taken from there. I cannot think where they will be published so am not sure what we can do about a source for them. -- PageantUpdatertalk | contribs | esperanza 08:29, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm surprised that Nevada got in to the final 5 even though she didn't have a score in the gown competition.

Music played

[edit]

Can we list some of the music that was played during that thing?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.89.176.176 (talkcontribs)

Question

[edit]

The scores for the swimsuit and evening gown were shown. In the evening gown competition, Miss Nevada USA, Helen Salas's score was ommited because she walked too fast and did not look at the camera. Is it possible to find out how much she got? Also once the top 10 are named and they compete in gowns, does the top 5 be determined by the average scores of swimsuit and gown or just on gowns?
