Untitled[edit]

I've got a problem : Mircea II is mentioned in several articles (possibly by the same writer) as having died by being buried alive. This is obviously a form of execution by somebody in whose power he had fallen. If so, how come nobody tells who it was did it? This is a hole in the story, and bothersome. There's also the problem of his life dates : he was ruler in 1442, but is known to have survived the battle of Varna in 1444, and to have supported his father in his bad relations with Janoš Hunyadi of Hungary, meaning he did not die in the immediate aftermath, so when did it happen? --Svartalf 03:31, 1 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spam removal[edit]

Please do not allow persons to market themselves via Wikipedia. In this case, an insignificant author of independent teenage fiction with low-volume sales attempts to hijack this historical entry under the guise of pop culture. Such behavior is contrary to the purpose Wikipedia. Said author should not spam encyclopedic entries in the hope selling another book or two. This is not an advertising site, regardless of how subtle or clever the author believes themselves to be. - Anon, Dec 2008

1443[edit]

"In 1443 Hunyadi launched an attack on Wallachia, defeating both the Ottoman forces and those loyal to Vlad Dracul, forcing the latter to negotiate with the Ottoman court for support, with Mircea II fleeing and going into hiding. " This part is written as if Mircea was holding the throne during 1443 but he wasn't, so this had to happen either in 1442 or when his father returned from the ottoman court, please clarify Lagonx (talk) 14:47, 7 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Identity of the Hungarian King[edit]

The article does not give the Christian name of the Hungarian King. This implies the article assumes the reader knows which Hunyadi it is referencing. I assume it is Janoš Hunyadi (John Hunyadi) as opposed to his sons László or Matthias. 76.115.152.151 (talk) 20:44, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
