date of birth

[edit]

Please do not include birth dates for living individuals, not even year for performers. We do not need to make life easier for identity thieves! — Robert Greer (talk) 14:16, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Including just the year is acceptable as per Wikipedia policy published at Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. The section linked to by WP:DOB states:
"With identity theft on the rise, people increasingly regard their full names and dates of birth as private. Wikipedia includes full names and dates of birth that have been widely published by reliable sources, or by sources linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object. If the subject complains about the inclusion of the date of birth, or the person is borderline notable, err on the side of caution and simply list the year."
Therefore, I have added an approximate year of birth (1979/1980) based on this person's age being published in three reliable sources, which are referenced in the article. -- Zyxw (talk) 15:03, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
