Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it's the publisher of several major trade journals. Whoever tagged it clearly is in the "it must not be important because I haven't heard of it" camp. At the very worst, this deserves a merge-redirect, the speedy is nothing less than reckless. --Bobak (talk) 05:34, 26 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

McGraw-Hill is notable and some of the trade journals they publish are notable but this does not make McGraw-Hill Construction a notable topic. Notability is not inherited. -- Alan Liefting (talk - contribs) 07:52, 26 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If Notability is in question then speedy deletion is not appropriate. If this went to AFD it might close as Keep or it might close as redirect to parent company, but it would be unlikely to close as delete. I've removed the db-corp tag.ϢereSpielChequers 08:52, 26 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
