Becoming a centenarian

The article says, "She became a centenarian in 1998 ..." If she was born June 15, 1897, as the lead says, she should have become a centenarian in 1997. The Centenarian article defines the word as "a person who has reached the age of 100 years", which she would have done in 1997. Eddie Blick (talk) 02:57, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
