- Images
- File:Marvel Cinematic Universe - Phase One box set.jpg
- File:Avi Arad by Gage Skidmore.jpg
- File:Jon Favreau 2012.jpg
- Lead
- "... but began exploring producing their own feature films by 2005" Use "and" instead of "but", as we are narrating a series of events.
- Development
- "...realized that unlike Spider-Man and the X-Men, whose film rights were licensed to Sony and Fox, respectively, Marvel still owned the rights to the core members of the Avengers." But then we get explanations of the film rights for Iron Man, Hulk, and Black Widow going back to Marvel, at points when the MCU project seems to be already underway. Did it mean perhaps that they had some of them and could retrieve the remaining ones more easily than Spider-Man or the X-Men? If so, it should be rewritten.
- "...as creators Stan Lee and Jack Kirby had done with their comic books in the early 1960s." Link instead Silver Age of Comic Books.
- Films
- Are the years really needed in the section titles? They are already available in the tables and can be mentioned inline if needed.
- All sections start with a brief description of the plot, which is written completely in-universe. Add a few extra words to add real-world context, such as "The film is about..."
- Iron Man (2008)
- Perhaps it should be mentioned that the "I am Iron Man" scene was improvised by Downey Jr. and approved by the director, as it became one of its most known phrases and defined the approach towards secret identities in the MCU. Besides, adding some extra text would help to reduce the white space caused by Arad's image and the section title below him.
- Hulk
Seems fine
- Iron Man 2
- The caption of the image talks about something from the first film. If needed to do so, them move it there, and move Arad to the Hulk section.
- Thor
Seems fine
- Captain America
- The First Avenger
- Shouldn't there be a mention of Sebastian Stan? His character would be a quite recurring one later on.
- Marvel's the Avengers
Seems fine
- Short films
- Paragraph is only two sentences long.
- Timeline
- It should be mentioned that the timeline will be modified in the future, to accommodate productions made after phase one but set in points before The Avengers (such as Captain Marvel). As written, it gives the wrong impression that this timeline is still canon and that later films simply took place at later points. Remember, we talk about things from 2008 to 2012, but with a 2024 perspective.
- This timeline won't be updated. It only features what is said/shown in this Phase, not other Phases. Further changes would probably need to be discussed on the MCU WP talk page or at Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline -- ZooBlazer
- Recurring cast and characters
Seems fine
- Music
Seems fine
- Home media
- The "Each film is linked to the "Box office" section of its article." is kind of unnecessary. If needed because of internal Wikipedia issues, add a hidden note.
- Reception
- Same
- Tie-in media
- Seems fine.
Besides, is there any non-MCU category this article can be categorized into? Cambalachero (talk) 18:41, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
- The phases are kind of a unique situation, so I'm not entirely sure. I think I've addressed everything Cambalachero. Thanks for the review! -- ZooBlazer 19:49, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
- I have fixed some details myself, to make things more quick. Pass. Cambalachero (talk) 14:08, 27 March 2024 (UTC)
