Fair use rationale for Image:Águilas del Zulia logo.png

[edit]

Image:Águilas del Zulia logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Population is wrong

[edit]

There's something wrong with the population, Zulia state article says Zulia state has around 3.2 million habitants, while Maracaibo article says 4.5 million. How can the city have more population than the state? Either Zulia's figure is wrong or Maracaibo's are wrong, and, since I'm a Maracaibo native I think the number on Maracaibo is INDEED wrong. Maracaibo population is around 2.2/2.5 million, not 4.5 million. Maracaibo doesn't have more pop than Caracas.--DamianFinol (talk) 00:59, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Maracaibo haves 2.3~ million registered voters. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.205.48.80 (talk) 06:53, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Motto

[edit]

The motto "Tierra Del Sol Amado" is incorrectly translated as "The Beloved Land of the Sun". If this is translated back to Spanish it would read along the lines of "Tierra Soleada y Amada". A better translation is needed, as the object in the motto that is "loved" is the sun, not the land. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.64.78.182 (talk) 20:05, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I have usually said it as "Land Beloved by the Sun" 208.185.201.194 (talk) 14:25, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Confusing story of Our Lady of Rosario of Chiquinquirá

[edit]

The story of the Virgin Chiquinquirá in this article is different with the story of the virgin in Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquirá article, different versions? I'm confused.--Rochelimit (talk) 12:04, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Climate

[edit]

I think where it says "The rain shadow of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta", it should say "The rain shadow of the Sierra de Perijá", But I'm also not sure of that, since the winds tend to come from the NorthEast (while Perijá is located west of the city) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sigma69x (talkcontribs) 20:04, 4 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
