Orphaned references in MSNBC Controversies

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of MSNBC Controversies's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Video/Audio Editing Controversies

[edit]

What are people's thoughts on adding Video/Audio Editing Controversies?

MSNBC played an edited portion (edited by an NBC Affiliate of the Zimmerman 911 calls which made Zimmerman sound racist. In an exclusive sit-down interview with Sandusky it has been reported that NBC left out what appears to be an admission of guilt. The SOLE REASON Romney stops the chant is to remind crowd to include Romney's name in the chant. http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/82814897/ Andyisbell (talk) 01:17, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Controversies or just criticisms?

[edit]

I'd like to do a major edit to this page either removing some of the sections or changing the title and separating criticisms from controversies. The first two "controversies" listed cite no sources that the criticism is controversial. Does anyone deny that MSNBC is left-leaning? Does MSNBC even deny that? It may be a criticism, but without real citations to disagreement it's not a controversy. Does anyone disagree? Branei (talk) 18:50, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on MSNBC controversies. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

MSNBC Banned from Rittenhouse Trial by Judge

[edit]

I have removed an inappropriate comment here. This is not a general forum for discussing the topic or for laughing at MSNBC. This does, however, appear to be a notable event and, if someone who edits this page is interested in doing so, it is likely appropriate for inclusion in this article. Here is coverage from CNN, AP, The Hill, and the New York Times - these links may be useful for anyone looking to add this content to the article. Short version: a driver was pulled over for running a red light while following the bus carrying the Rittenhouse jury. He claimed to work for MSNBC and gave the name of his supervisor. MSNBC says he is a "freelancer". The judge banned MSNBC from the courthouse for the duration of the trial. --B (talk) 19:16, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Recent Controversies

[edit]

Their are some recent contiveres such as MSNBC deceptively editing clips of Donald Trump. Is that somthing we want to put up or is it to recent? https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/4548333-trump-episode-shows-why-the-news-industry-is-suffering-a-bloodbath/ Nameofuser1 (talk) 01:24, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

MSNBC controversiesMSNBC criticisms and controversies – I've been looking at Category:Criticisms of companies and it is a mix of criticism and controversies (in naming). It is really hard to distinguish one from the other, and looking at the lead here we can read: "MSNBC is a news and political commentary organization that has been the focus of several controversies. It has been accused by...". Well, being accused of something is obviously criticism. This article is in both criticism and controversies categories. I suggest renaming it to follow what I think is most logical style (Category:Fox News criticisms and controversies and like).
