Looking at a few external sites, including http://www.steelconstruction.info/Tied-arch_bridges, it would suggest that this is a thrust arch bridge rather than a ties arch bridge - the forces in this bridge are carried by the foundations. The deck is just suspended from the arch, it's not under tension. Any objections to me making a change to the bridge type? 82.10.224.23 (talk) 06:56, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
