I suggest that this might be much more useful divided up by country. I note also that most of the individual accidents would not be worthy of wp coverage,so i ask for a more explicit set of criteria--possible number of deaths greater than 4 or 5 at the very least; more possibly 10 oe 20. I am not sure also where you are selecting your information from . I think at present thisgives the impression of an indsicriinate list, not one prepared very systematically.09:24, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Context?

I wonder if more context can be added to the lead section. Obviously there has been some discussion about what constitutes a notable accident at Talk:List of road accidents, but I wonder if it should be made explicit that even within "accidents with a high death toll", this is a very incomplete list, unless a reliable source with a compilation of the same data can be found. It is after all a tiny fraction of deaths on the road worldwide. Also I think the article might otherwise develop a tendency to attract memorials and WP:NOTNEWS. --Cedders^tk 09:10, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Updated Layout

Hello,

Just wanted to let you guys know I've started work on reformatting entries into tabular data while also adding as many sources as I can find.

To the person who copy/pasted directly from Liquisearch to fill up the entries, please don't do that. I can't find resources for half of the entries on there.
