Tsukuyomi, or Tsukiyomi? --Alexie 05:49, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tsukuyomi. --Kenshin -Himura 20:53, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Why isn't it Tsukiyomi. That is the name of the Goddess that it is named after. 71.192.77.222 03:58, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I believe both are right. The original (and therefore the 'right' form) would be Tsukiyomi, but the romanized form of the word is Tsukuyomi. Since we're supposed to use only jutsu names translated to english, the correct name to use here at wiki is Tsukuyomi, yes. ~Nih 23:57, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Warning About Posible Deletion

[edit]

As another article like this one was deleted recently, and the people involved said that this one was high on their list of priorities, I don't think it would be a bad idea for someone to back up the page to get it ready for moving to a Wikia, just in case is DOES get deleted by the "crufters", as I've taken to calling them. Missing genjutsu

[edit]

What's the genjutsu that Itachi puts Naruto under in the part 2 fight? Does it yet have a name? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.173.6.67 (talk)

No it does not, which is the reason for it not being listed in the article. ~SnapperTo 22:36, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kakashi's exposure to tsukuyomi

[edit]

How did Kakashi get exposed to the Tsukuyomi When his eye (not his sharingan eye) was closed? that's how he got caught he was caught in it before he closed his eyes

Tsukuyomi is a Kekkei Genkai; even Kakashi cannot copy it. Therefore, he is affected by it like a regular ninja. It's only because Kakashi keeps his Sharingan eye open all the time, which is a bad idea against Itachi. Link 486 12:17, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sasuke's second exposure to Tsukuyomi

[edit]

That last paragraph describing how Sasuke opened his eyes when Itachi used Tsukuyomi seems to contradict something that is written on the Jutsu (Naruto) page and that I believe Kakashi said during the fight with Itachi's body clone. If I read correctly, genjutsu can also be performed via disruption of one's chakra with physical contact. Itachi was clutching Sasuke's neck when he whipped out Tsukuyomi. It would explain why Sasuke opened his eyes at that point, although perhaps a data book contradicts my belief? Treima 01:39, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's a general thing. Tsukuyomi requires eye-contact to work. Genjutsu have a specific manner in which they need to be performed. Also, disrupting chakra breaks genjutsu. It doesn't cause it. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 01:41, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ooh! -30 points to me for not reading it correctly. You win. Treima 01:45, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bunshin no Jutsu

[edit]

It's a genjutsu, stop removing it. Renegade78 23:19, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's a ninjutsu, stop being a fool. Genjutsu, by definition, only works on the target, not observers. The Clone Technique works on everyone because the illusions exist, they are not hallucinations. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 23:10, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's been stated in both the anime and manga that it's a genjutsu. Kishi has made it clear. Stop being a moron. Renegade78 23:15, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Prove it. Chapter, page. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 23:15, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
First databook says it's ninjutsu (page 220). ~SnapperTo 23:27, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
See? Like that. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 23:28, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's too bad I didn't notice that when I was checking all the jutsu a few months ago. Then it'd be another thing I could revert with certainty. ~SnapperTo 23:37, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New Genjutsu

[edit]

What happened with the new genjutsu that was discovered that the sharingan can use in manga chapter 345? Should we put it under unknown? Orochimaru12 15:31, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If it doesn't have a name, it doesn't get listed. ~SnapperTo 19:53, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The English TV name for Tsukuyomi

[edit]

I watched the newest episode this Saturday and it has been confirmed that the English name for Tsukuyomi is, in fact, Tsukuyomi. Itachi himself says it at least twice. Please do not delete it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.243.63.148 (talk) 05:41, 8 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

We list the different names for jutsu, not what each form of media calls something. Since it's called "Tsukuyomi" in Japanese, it doesn't need to be mentioned that it's called "Tsukuyomi" in English too. ~SnapperTo 06:54, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

another missing genjutsu

[edit]

where is Tayuya's flute-casting genjutsu?? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.185.163.37 (talk) 20:46, 7 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

On her character article. See Land of Sound#Tayuya. Sephiroth BCR 22:47, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

umm yea it describes it but it is non the less a genjutsu technique and should be in this article.

All of the jutsu articles are being slowly combined, and it's more fitting for character-specific jutsu to be placed on that character's article. Sephiroth BCR 22:52, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ok but then you are depriving veiwers of learning certain things about the technique, such as rank or all of the users, which almost defeats the whole point of wikipedia in some ways.24.185.163.37 23:07, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tayuya is the only user. As for the rest, Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. Sephiroth BCR 23:13, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Death Foreseeing Technique and canonly Bringer of Darkness only have 1 user. All things possible should be listed if there is information about them. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.91.155.164 (talk) 02:33, 9 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]
We are but humble humans; we can't move all jutsu to character entries in one fell swoop. Those two will be moved in due time. ~SnapperTo 03:42, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu: Where are they?

[edit]

What happened? I don't see either of these jutsu in this page or the Kekkei Genkai page. Can we PLEASE put them back? Also: If there is a picture of the black flame left behind by Amaterasu, please add it. Link 486 12:12, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
