Individual wikipedia pages should be reliable sources

[edit]

Why does ItsKesha keep asking for sources when the individual wikipedia pages of Ronaldo and Messi already have up to date numbers and sources available? just use those as reference.

Possible Players With Over 500 Official Goals

[edit]

In my opinion there should be a section with a list of footballers with possibly over 500 official goals in their career, via RSSSF criteria. For example players such as Reg Date, Alf Quill and Godfrey Chitalu are believed to have scored over 500 official goals in their career but the RSSSF have not yet uploaded them. There are multiple other players as well, these 3 were just to name a few. Sexy Beast (talk) 23:10, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Top flight league goals

[edit]

I’m not sure why the following statement needs to be mentioned in the intro:

UEFA, the governing body for European football, ranks him [Bican] as the leading all-time goalscorer in European top-flight leagues with 518 goals, narrowly ahead of Hungarian Ferenc Puskás.

This article is about goalscorers, not league goals only, let alone European top-flight leagues. There are already dozens of conflicting claims of all-time top goalscorers, there’s no need to add further when it’s not strictly relevant anyway. Otherwise, what about top flight South American leagues, Asian, North American, etc. Or Cup goals or Continental goals only. There’s no point adding unnecessary restrictions. I suggest this statement be removed. Feudonym (talk) 03:04, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
