the list should be corrected as Israel has two separate rankings on it (???) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.206.24.162 (talkcontribs)

Error

[edit]

I tried to confirm the list at List of countries by tomato production and this is what I obtained for 2008 checking the link at http://faostat3.fao.org/faostat-gateway/go/to/browse/Q/QC/E

  • Spain: 4 million tonnes
  • China: 39 million tonnes
  • India: 10 million tonnes
  • USA: 12.7 million tonnes
  • Egypt: 9.2 million tonnes

The data I got for Spain is very far from what is in the list - 8 times less. China is 3 times more. Maybe the number for Spain is in fact the number for China. No idea what the 13 million tons for China can be though. The others in the top 5 seem to be ok. —  Ark25  (talk) 17:44, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
