update

[edit]

I'm going to start updating the info, as this article is very, very useful. Darkmyst932 10:52, 9 August 2007 (UTC) ==[reply]

[edit]

The descriptions are all cut and paste from Xbox.com. I'm not sure if that's appropriate. xenocidic (talk) 02:52, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is no longer an issue. --APShinobi My Contribs 21:49, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

--Ronnie42 (talk) 17:23, 28 January 2010 (UTC)i agree and there out-dated too[reply]

Suggested additions

[edit]

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires, Fable 2 is supposed to be co-op, as well AirGibson (talk) 18:17, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another addition, Fuzion Frenzy 2 is 4 player party games 68.80.178.247 (talk) 02:44, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fuzion Frenzy 2 is 4-player multiplayer technically as you are all competing against each other, not really a co-op game. Alistair 84 (talk) 14:33, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Burnout Paradise

[edit]

I changed the co-op players to 1-8 because that more accurately reflects what is possible in the game. The game allows up to 8 players online, and you can pick from a multitude of modes and challenges. Some of the challenges are competitive, but most are co-operative. I don't know why the official listing says Co-op: 1-4 when there are actually 8 player co-operative challenges. --Mancide (talk) 15:02, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Implement as sortable table

[edit]

Per the current AfD Debate it has been suggested that this list be converted into a sortable table rather than a simple list. I think this makes a lot of sense, there are many different potential implementations of co-op gameplay.

  • Some potential columns I can see include:
  • Supports Local (split screen) play
  • Number of players supported offline
  • Supports system link (LAN) play
  • Number of players supported via system link
  • Online co-op
  • Number of players supported in online play
  • Playable online with splitscreen (2 local players playing online)
  • Drop-In and Drop-Out support
  • Co-Op specific content?
  • Single player content available in co-op mode
  • Achievements earnable for all players?
  • ???

Admittedly I used what is listed on http://www.co-optimus.com as a template for these ideas.

Sorry I've never implemented a table on Wikipedia before but I adapted what was in List of Xbox 360 games and here's a first draft:

Title Developer Publisher(s) Local Co-Op # of players LAN Co-Op # of players Online Co-Op # of players Local players supported online Drop-In/Drop-Out Support Co-Op Specific Content Single player content available in Co-Op Achievements Earnable Notes
Halo 3 Bungie Microsoft Game Studios Yes 2 Yes 4 Yes 4 Yes Yes No Yes Yes
The Simpsons Game Electronic Arts Electronic Arts Yes 2 No No No Yes No Yes No

I don't much like it but maybe someone can improve it. Raitchison (talk) 17:08, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'll ask Xeno too do so.--'The Ninjalemming' 18:50, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It would definately be easier and quicker to read in table format. Alistair 84 (talk) 12:12, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Clean up

[edit]

I think we should get rid of the 'Coop modes' section as this just causes confusion (most probably), and just put the different types under the actual games themselves, this would also make it look better in it self. If some one could please contact me about this that would be great. --'The Ninjalemming' 18:48, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Are there games missing from this list?

[edit]

I was trying to find more RPG-ish games I could play co-op on the 360 and I stumbled onto this list. I have been enjoying Eternal Sonata, and I noticed it was not on this list, so I added it. How do we know there are not more games missing? 76.6.37.89 (talk) 21:12, 11 February 2009 (UTC)ADVENT[reply]

We dont, I suppose. You could try crossreferencing this list with one at a site like http://co-optimus.comxeno (talk)
I don't have time to go through them all right now, but just checking quickly I found a few games on that list that aren't on this Wikipedia one. Thanks for sharing the link! 76.6.37.89 (talk) 16:48, 18 February 2009 (UTC)ADVENT[reply]

I know of a few missing games. Some are not backwards compatable. But Raze's Hell, Brute Force, and Serious sam2 all have co op. Raze's Hell is only split screen. Dead Mans Hand has co op Misiions. Two 360 games not on the list are: Blazing Angels and Turok. Overlord has mission co op, but not the story. _ Mindwarper —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.85.236.233 (talk) 00:27, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is certainly an incomplete list, two games I can see missing without doing any research are Smash TV (on Arcade) and Conflict: Denied Ops. Alistair 84 (talk) 12:11, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why arnt there any sports games on this list? fifa , madden nfl and nhl can all be played cooperatively. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.70.135.129 (talk) 07:37, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bogus site?

[edit]

On the list of "See Also" theres a link to "Joomla!" which is linked to www.xboxlivecoop.com, am I right in assuming it would be better off being removed? (124.197.25.140 (talk) 02:35, 5 February 2011 (UTC))[reply]

Suggested Titles

[edit]

Epic Mickey 2 Off-line splitscreen 2p co-op campain (drop in drop out).

Crash of The Titans Off-line same screen 2p co-op campain (drop in drop out). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ruiuhl (talkcontribs) 15:51, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Woefully incomplete

[edit]

I would recommend deletion due to lack of importance & woefully incomplete information after 6 years. See http://www.trueachievements.com/xbox360achievements.aspx - filter by "cooperative" & "Xbox 360" and sort by game title. Adding in an additional filter of "Arcade only" you'll have 11 pages worth of titles, the first 3 pages list 66 arcade titles with cooperative achievements and that does not include games with co-op modes that do not have co-op achievements & games which are unflagged in their system. This list could easily grow to over 500 titles which would be unnecessarily massive. 75.119.242.187 (talk) 13:21, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
