Raiden should get his own page. Just like all the other main (player) characters do for the other MGS games..

This has been discussed, actually. There's really not much more expansion you can add without bulking up the plot summary or adding inane trivia, and he only appears in the one game. - A Man In Bl?ck (conspire | past ops) 16:08, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

His own history is quite expansive though. I think it's enough that it warrants his own page.

His history can be summarized in a paragraph. In fact, his history IS summarized in a paragraph. - A Man In Bl?ck (conspire | past ops) 16:18, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

I must agree, Raiden needs his own page and his story I quite intricat, historical, and detailed. Lets get one started.Solidusspriggan 10:09, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

I dont get the line about his effeminate appearance being a recurring joke in the subsequent games. I mean, thus far theres only been one MGS game since...

Stop Changing my work

Listen you pimple faced punks. Vamp has been confirmed to return in MGS4. Stop changing my work.

Then give us some links for sources. And please, keep the language clean. --Snkcube 06:36, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
Vamp appears on the original MGS4 announcment flyer, seen here:

First character on the left, bullet hole in the forehead and all. I'd say that's confirmation enough. Druff 19:23, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Speaking of Vamp, what's the deal with "Fatman creating Vamp?" The bombing in which Stillman 'loses his leg' took place five years before the Big Shell events, how could that be the same bomb that Vamp was caught in as a child? Removed that unless someone can clarify why it's in there. Daigo 10:57, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Solidus' swords

Are Solidus' swords actually dual katanas? Based on the what I can see of the character model in The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2, one of the swords looks shorter than the other, making me think they're a daisho (katana and wakizashi, the trad. samurai weapons). Is there any official source that says they're both katanas (I'm thinking it could be the same one that gives their nicknames)? - DoubleCross 09:51, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

They look the same size to me to in-game. And they both seem longer than your average wakizashi. He doesn't even wear them like a normal samurai would wear a wakizashi/katana combo. - Anon.

Olga

"Solidus then killed Olga by shooting her in the head with his FN P90." Didn't he kill her by snapping her neck? - Metal gear ninty 11:12, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Emma's profile

"However, just before graduating high school, Emma injured Robinson in self-defense after an attempted sexual assault."

Where is this stated? Also shouldn't Emma be classified as a doctor - Metal gear ninty 11:07, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Vamp's haematophagy

"(Other than the haematophagy, he does not seem to have any other traditional vampire weakness.)" Unless It is stated that Vamp only feeds on blood then this statement is invalid. - Metal gear ninty 10:39, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

I don't know if this has to do with vampire weakness, but Vamp yells out "My eyes!" if he's in the general vicinity of a Stun Grenade when it goes off. Since no other bosses complain from the flash, perhaps he has a bit of light sensitivity. Maetch 17:57, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

It's a stun grenade. The brightness is painfull for anyone, light sensitive or not. Vamp is the only one that complains about it. In MGS3, most of the sentries and some bosses shout similar things when stun grenaded.172.207.143.128 02:06, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Solidus' political activities

"He was very vocal about his opposition to eugenics experiments, but had no foreign policy successes and was apparently set on using the START 3 treaty to make one for the history books. He was pro-NMD for domestic defense against airborne threats such as nuclear warheads".

Could this be sourced please, because I doubt that it is true? - Metal gear ninty 10:19, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Vamp's height

Vamp's section says that he is 193 cm tall.

What's the source on this?

Revolver Ocelot

Why is there no mention of Ocelot, since although he rarely shows up in the game, has a very significant role.

He has his own page. Revolver Ocelot --Snkcube 06:45, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Emma's Hacking

It says that Emma hacked into the NSA on January 24, 2000. What is the source on this?

It's stated in the game (by Rose, I believe). As an aside, it'd be a good idea for you to sign your posts. - DoubleCross 12:51, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

Church

Is the church Stillman accidently blew up the same one Vamp and his family got caught in?

I doubt it. The church that was blown up when Stillman failed to diffuse a bomb was blown up five years before the Big Shell incident, while the bomb that killed Vamp's family blew up when Vamp was just a child. I doubt Vamp could have grown from child to how he is in MGS2 in just five years.

Solidus

I added a basic definition of the word "solidus". I figured if I was curious as to what his name meant, other people might.

And I just removed it, because it was incorrect. In chemistry, "solidus" refers to the temperature (or pressure whatever factor is in question) at which an element becomes a stable solid. But that has nothing to do with why the character is named Solidus. A solidus is also a slash or stroke mark, this thing: / He is a balance between Solid Snake and Liquid Snake, hence "Solid/Liquid". Own Pages for All

This is the wikipedia people. If every indivual The Simpsons, Digimon, and Harry Potter character gets their own page, I think all the Metal Gear Solid characters should have their own page. With the very way the Wikipedia is there's no reason they can't all have their own page. It's not like we're gonna run out of room. Cookn4evar 04:00, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Well, nobody has gotten around to merging those articles yet. The same reasoning as above applies as well to those articles as to these. - A Man In Bl?ck (conspire | past ops) 05:32, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Ames

This might sound like a very ridiculous request, but could someone please source where they heard that Ames name was in reference to the protagonist in 'The Cat Who Walks Through Walls.'

If it's just speculation, then remove it. 72.140.251.74 23:50, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Johnson's father being a senator?

As far as I can remember, Johnson says something along the lines of "By pledging my loyalty, an insignificant son of a senator was awarded the presidency."

I don't recall him ever stating that it was his father that was a senator, only that he was a son of a senator. What is the source on that it was his father and not his mother that was the senator?

minute sabotage

Someone's added minute sexual references to Fortune's profile. I believe I got them all, but her article needs a touch-up.

Non-used characters

Is it possible to add a non-used characters area. The non-used characters are the china-man,Old boy (MGS3's The end) Maxine work (Max), Doctor William Willson (Doc), Johnny Sasaki-Slayter and Fanshawe (Raidens father). See here (http://www.mgstus.org/downloads/misc/MGS2_orginal_gameplan/metal_gear_solid_2_grand_game_plan.pdf) and got to the very bottome of page 25 or top of page 26 88.104.33.142 16:31, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

I've read that, the info about Old Boy is in the MGS3 characters list, Max and Doc are in the main MGS2 article, but you could probably add Sasaki-Slayer and Fanshawe to the main MGS2 article
