Associated county?
[edit]I've put this over here as it may take some time to format. Could this do with an "associated county" column? MRSC 19:01, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
- I should say so. Morwen - Talk 19:10, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
- Also, I'm not too sure about some of the links. There may be County Borough of... articles for some of these. MRSC 19:18, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
- The only ones I'm aware of are Warley, and the 3 greater london ones. I think probably a County Borough of Teesside would be a good idea, but do not think any others would be useful. Morwen - Talk 19:34, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
- Of course. The London ones I'm thinking of and they are defunct by 1971. MRSC 19:38, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
Excellent, it is done. So the twelve biggest county boroughs were all larger than then twelve smallest admin counties and around 30% of the English population were in the county boroughs. 45% in Greater London + county boroughs. It will be interesting to compare with the % in Greater London + metropolitan counties after 1974. MRSC 20:37, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yep. It would also be perhaps interesting to derive population density figures: also a per county percentage figure for how much of the population was within county boroughs. Morwen - Talk 22:09, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
