I Am Not Going to Sell Herbalux

[edit]

Is this the actual title for the pilot episode? All the press releases and other listings note the episode's title as "Pilot". Should this be changed? Sfufan2005 00:49, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll go ahead and change it to Pilot. Robert Moore 03:18, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Screenshots

[edit]

Since this is an LOE that uses screenshots, they should all be the same dimensions.
In this case, they should all be from the widescreen 16:9 format, like the first few screenshots. Cliff smith 04:27, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MOS

[edit]

Most of the Episodes are not written like Encyclopedia Articles!!!!!!! Can anyone fix this first????121.7.56.203 16:04, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They will be moved above?

[edit]

Clearly, someone edited this article a little oddly. What's wrong with all the episodes being in the same table, be they upcoming or not? I've never seen a list of episodes that has upcoming episodes in a different table - except when there's a break between two seasons. byeee 15:44, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Screenshots

[edit]

Hey everyone, This is just a pretty general question for all List of episode articles. Where'd the screenshots go? I think list of episode articles look really better with screenshots, as it helps add a more visual image to each episode. If anyone know's where the screenshots have gone, could they send me a message on my talk page? Thankyou, Mrx9898 03:25, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Betty's Wait Problem

[edit]

I suggest we dont merge this article! (Wikirocks2 07:56, 16 October 2007 (UTC))[reply]

And do you have any reason for this? It's supposed to be a discussion, not a vote. (I started the discussion at Talk:Betty's Wait Problem, by the way, so perhaps it is better if we keep this discussion in one place.) Fram 08:28, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't really see how the page for this particular episode is any different from all the others in the series. I can see how the content at the moment could look especially plot heavy but then the episode was only aired in the US last thursday (11th) and hasn't been shown in the UK at all yet. I think any merging should be left until at least the current series is finished and then be consistent for all Ugly Betty episodes - whether that is to have a seperate article for each page or to encapsulate all the info in a single page. (posted on Talk:Betty's Wait Problem as well but as the merge banner directs here thought I'd better cover all bases). Bredon 16:49, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I would prefer all pages to be redirected here (unless they have sufficient sources per WP:EPISODE and are no longer mainly plot summaries), but I tagged this one specifically because it was redirected, but reversed by an editor who did not reply to my questions as to why he did that. Instead of starting an edit war, I started the discussion for this article. The default is to only create the articles after enough info is available, instead of creating the ar(icles by default once the episode has aired (or even before, as was done originally). Waiting for the end of the season seems long to me, but waiting a bit longer to give editors the chance to expand it, now that it exists anyway, is of curse permissible. Fram 07:14, 18 October 2007 (UTC

How do merge all season 2 eps back like seaon 1

I think the tag should be removed now, there is a lot more information and many people like to come to Wikipedia to check plot summaries. The system of writing Ugly Betty episode articles has been like this for a year already now, why change it when it works? 172.200.87.22 18:38, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The most popular pages on Wikipedia are all the sex-related pages, that is no reason to turn Wikipedia into a porn website either. There is not much "information" on the page, it is just a huge plot summary, which is exactly the reason it was redirected. If plot summaries are the reason people turn to Wikipedia, then they are at the wrong address, as that is not the intention of Wikipedia, see WP:NOT#PLOT). Fram 07:49, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This argument has gone on for a while. I don't read those rubbish Wiki guide pages after a newspaper said they were a load of rubbish. I agree with that because frankly, they are. Wikipedia is an information source "to inform the world about anything they want to know" and deletionists contradict this making it one pathetic site as a place where people learn what the deletionists want you to and nothing else. People have different interests You are the only one to argue about this. Also, there is plenty of "information" on the page, for one person to argue is frankly pathetic. Everyone else is happy, exceptions are made. Stop trying to win a lost battle. 172.203.215.67 17:29, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Who writes these plot summaries anyway? They sound like they were written by a twelve year old trying to be cool. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.97.110.64 (talk) 11:55, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Episode Summaries

[edit]

Wikipedia is supposed to be a source of knowledge of anything the reader wants to read. Which means that if someone wants to know a full episode summary, shouldn't they exist for something like this? Other major television shows have full episode summaries for their episodes. Why shouldn't Ugly Betty? Jonathan D Milne 16:47, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

These others shouldn't exist either, unless there are reliable independent sources about these episodes indicating their notability as an independent episode. The general consensus, included in the WP:NOT#PLOT policy, is that Wikipedia is not the place for articles consisting mainly or only of plot summaries. Fram 14:49, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Suggest a place that is for LONG plot summaries then that doesn't load slow on a 56k connection? I find this argument frankly pathetic. Less popular shows have longer plot articles than Ugly Betty and even in the summaries on those articles they are longer than they are here. I keep my stance, one person twisting on after so long of the same format isn't going to go anywhere in getting these pages deleted and will actually end up in making this area inconsistent. 172.203.215.67 17:33, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Two points, that both reduce to Verifiability

[edit]

It's okay to add information to Wikipedia, even (in extraordinary circumstances) about TV, episodes that haven't been broadcast yet. All we ask is verifiability. Somebody's blog, or some other site on the internet, aren't verifiable. I could register uglybettyspoilers.com but it wouldn't make whatever I might put on a website at that domain any more verifiable. Please don't put stuff into Wikipedia just because you read it somewhere on the internet. --Anticipation of a New Lover's Arrival, The 22:35, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think imdb is a reliable source for this kind of thing either (TV episode names may change prior to broadcast). I suggest we wait until a broadcaster actually announces titles. It won't be a long wait. --Anticipation of a New Lover's Arrival, The 19:09, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Webseries

[edit]

shouldn't we add 'Mode After Hours', 'Sins of the Heart' and 'Murder by Death' on the episodes list? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mr White (talkcontribs) 13:22, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Season 4

[edit]

It might just be a glitch or something, but it looks like the entire Ugly Betty season 4 page is here for some reason. Does anyone know how to fix it? 2A00:23C7:7BB6:ED01:691A:15C2:7314:48EB (talk) 11:20, 16 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
