Talk:List of French artists and artistic movements
Page Split
[edit]As the original writer of this page, I am starting to think that this page is too large and that the French Art History section should be moved to a separate (and main) page French art, moving the lists (both sets: chronological and by school) to separate pages List of French artists and List of French artistic movements (speaking of which... I think contributors *need to be made aware* that there are double entries of artists on these lists so that they add/fix links twice) and the whole thing managed by a Template:French art history. I also wonder if the list of museums at the bottom (which no one has ever added to) should be eliminated (a subcategory in catalogues of museums of France needs to give cities!) and the discussion on salons and academies would be better on its own page French art salons and academies. As you can see, I have started to put this into effect, but it's just a beginning. Suggestions? Comments? --NYArtsnWords 21:06, 15 August 2005 (UTC)
- Your plan sounds wonderful! It would work well as a model for organizing articles on the art of other nations. >>sparkit|TALK<< 16:28, August 17, 2005 (UTC)
Ok... so I just put in the Redirect to French art. I hope everyone likes the new format. -- NYArtsnWords 02:04, 19 August 2005 (UTC)
