LGBT tags

[edit]

I removed the categorization of LGBT musician and lesbian musician from this article. I know that I've heard that about Lisa, Wendy, or both since day one. However, we need to have something verifiable per Wikipedia protocol. If there's a place where they've come out and said something publicly, please readd this to their individual articles and their group article, with sources. Thanks!! Also, removed the protege tag - Wendy and Lisa were studio musicians and band members WITH Prince, and not his proteges. Prince wrote and produced all the songs for his proteges....and you can't say that about W&L. NickBurns 01:59, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removed the category again. Per WP:BLP, this cat must have a valid reference to be added to the article. -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 14:28, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Now that it's sourced, I added the LGBT tag again. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 03:16, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Early Life - Relevance of Knowing Wendy Melvoin

[edit]

Yes, it's relevant. She later recruited Melvoin to join Prince's band The Revolution, then they split to form Wendy & Lisa which is still an ongoing collaboration, AND in 2009 Wendy revealed that they had been involved in a romantic relationship. It's hard to see how mentioning that they were childhood friends could not be relevant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.227.169.132 (talk) 16:08, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
