Number of goals for Manchester United.

[edit]

There would seem to be a disparity between the text of the article and the infobox in terms of the number of goals Lee Martin scored whilst at Manchester United. The text mentions his goal in the 1990 FA Cup Final replay and states "This was one of just two goals Martin scored in his entire United career. The other goal, his first, came 16 months earlier in the 3–1 defeat of West Ham at Upton Park". However the infobox which states its figures are for "Club domestic league appearances and goals" lists 2 goals -but the FA Cup goal should not be in this as it was not a league goal. Either then the infobox is wrong, or he scored another league goal. Looking at the Manchester United season articles, I have been unable to find another goal where he is listed as scorer. Given this, I suspect the issue is probably with the infobox, but someone might want to investigate further. Either way this is probably something that needs to be corrected for consistency. You're right, he only scored one league goal. – PeeJay 15:09, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for fixing this. I did think I had heard it said his cup-winning goal was the only one of two he scored for Manchester United so this makes sense. Dunarc (talk) 20:02, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
