she married Stanislaw de Turczynowicz, Count Gozdawa, becoming Laura de Turczynowicz, Countess Gozdawa"". This seems hoaxish. Not as in this article is a hoax, rather - sources are wrong, probably based on her own not-fact checked account, i.e lies.

Let's start with the the fact that counts were not a native title of Polish nobility, but one granted to a few members by a foreign monarch, they did became relatively common later, but they are also often used by foreigners who don't know much about Polish nobility to give their families a fake veneer of nobility. Same for de, which is French, not Polish title. Her husband was most certainly not Stanislaw de Turczynowicz, which would be French rendering of his name, but just Stanislaw Turczynowicz
Gozdawa refers to Gozdawa coat of arms or one of several villages. Likely the former, as I found some evidence Turczynowicz were a noble family using Gozdawa coat of arms. ([1], [http://genealogia.okiem.pl/forum/viewtopic.php?f=73&t=2114&start=20). Note that in Polish, Turczynowicz h. Gozdawa has the h. refering to coat of arms (herb), not count (polish hrabia).
pl wiki has an article on pl:Stanisław Turczynowicz (1875-1957), but there are no indication he was a count, but an engineer and a university professor. It makes no reference to his marriage to Canadian actress Laura.
I cannot find any hits even for Polish language reference to " hrabia Turczynowicz " / " hrabia Stanislaw Turczynowicz ".

At the very least, I think it is very doubious the Turczynowicz family had any claim to the count title. I think it was likely a fairy tale told by the actress in her biography, through it is possible her husband was named Stanislaw Turczynowicz and belong to Polish nobility and had Gozdawa coat of arms (but without any count title). --_{Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here} 07:19, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
