Re: Moved items[edit]

The last I knew, the disambiguation page listed the items to be disambiguated; it didn't redirect to a plain-title page, that listed the items. Correct this if I am wrong. Zephyrad (talk) 05:39, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dab pages with the (disambiguation) clarifier should be used only when the title definitely has a primary topic--for example, Baseball and Baseball (disambiguation). If there is no primary topic, the disambiguation page should be at the plain title--for example Spring. In these cases, the (disambiguation) redirect exists as a convenience to be used for intentional links to dab pages (i.e. those that do not need to be disambiguated). Also, pages should not be moved by cutting and pasting; using the move tab preserves the page's history.
