This type of reactor was banned in the United States up until recently - By banned presumably there was an announcement that new FBRs would not be licensed, an interesting piece of politics as nobody in the USA has been building new power reactors of any sort recently, just upgrading the old PWRs and BWRs. By until recently I guess there was another announcement that new FBRs now can be licensed. It would be good to cite some sources and give some dates for these announcements.

Although the ban has been lifted, no LMFBR have been built in the United States. Sort of, I guess they mean since the ban was lifted, and no power reactors at all have been built in that time, FBR or otherwise. EBR-I and EBR-II weren't called FBRs although they were sort of. Still quite a misleading statement IMO. Andrewa 02:57, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've now redirected to fast breeder. There isn't really anything to merge; All of this information is either in the target article, or wrong. Andrewa 16:14, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
