This appears to have been written by someone with a POV in favor of LAUNCH and against TechCrunch. This needs to be fixed. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 20:36, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you can be more specific, I can change it. I tried to reference the articles (atlantic) and the TechCrunch site for what they stand for. I can tell you I (as the author) have no bias against TechCrunch (I even was Thanked by them publicly on a post last week), so if you can tell me what words/references you don't like, let's change it. This was/is however, a big deal for tech conferences where publishers with conferences choose not to cover each other - do they make news, or report it? So if we can find a way to include that angle, since I think it's important, let's fix it! Geoffclapp (talk) 21:14, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I did quite a few minor edits. I've presented at both TechCrunch Disrupt and LAUNCH, know both Jason Calacanis and Mike Arrington, and don't feel biased as an editor. I've been adding factual information in any case. Terrycojones (talk) 21:57, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I asked another reader to pickout sections they thought might effect POV, and edited the sections, please let me know if you think this helps. I want to keep the controversy (b/c I think it's important to determine the role of journalism in making news and choosing not to report it, for whatever reason, when it is part of your mission). That said, I don't have a dog in that fight, so I want to be sure this is not bias. Thoughts? Geoffclapp (talk) 22:00, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
