[edit]

It's an open secret that Kai is unhappy with his invitational card, because it bears little resemblance to the card he sumbitted (an enchantment) and the picture is unflattering [1].

Although it should be worth noting that the face in the picture is indeed his own face, Photo-shopped in because the artist was too lazy to actually do it himself. There was talk of a new, alternate-art version being printed, but it's been so long since I've played I don't know if anything came of it.--MythicFox 07:45, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I completely removed the part of ppl scorning professional magic players. completely POV82.83.243.139 17:01, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree that what was said was "completely POV" (nice use of capitals by the way). It has been suggested that a man of his age who plays top trumps is a bit daft. What was "completely POV" - more total nonsense - was the older statement concerning Michael Jordan, Gary Kasparov and Pele. The author claimed that Budde had reached the celebrity heights of the aforementioned, genuine stars. Word.

Hehe. "A Man of his age" ..... he is in his mid20ies now and hasn`t played serious MTG for 2 years now. He was about 22-24 when doing best at the PT - like many other professional mtg-players. Maybe you want to include a sentence about magic players being nerds in every mtg-related article? 82.83.189.122 09:32, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm confused. Does this mean that twenty-two is young enough to play top trumps? I'm not convinced. Maybe we should clarify the statement. I think we should interpret "a man of his age..." as "anyone over the age of sixteen...".

Maybe you want explain why an wiki-article about some card gaming guy should contain insults about age-approbiate behaviour? - this guy was the most successful player at some card game. Thats all a reader of a wiki should know. You may want to discuss the relation between age and magic somewhere else? btw, there are lots of other professional mtg players older than 20. I do not know if you ever attended a PT - but i would say the avg PT-level player is 20-24 yrs. Any game giving out some million dollar per year to it`s player base attracts ppl older than 18 - you might guess.

Because it annoys morons.

selfpwned. thx for that wonderful statement :P. But you are right - comparing a card flopping guy to Jordan et al is a bit out of touch - thats why this part has also been removed.

Burn Deck
