he was featured on a televised version of CBS news, don't know if it should be mentioned http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/06/05/eveningnews/main2889125.shtml?source=mostpop_story --Doinelita 08:30, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

nonsensical religious comment

[edit]

What is the point of the following comment in the article?

Bornstein is Jewish on his father's side and Mexican on his mother's.[1]

It is totally nonsensical. Unless you would want to rephrase it as his mother is Catholic or whatever. Furthermore why do we even care what his religion (or his parents) is? Are we supposed to start adding religious affiliation to every soccer player now? Alexf(t/c) 10:52, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article reference someone just added, does state those words. They are still as nonsensical as if they had said: "He had a buddhist mother and a Portuguese Father". The author is mixing religion and nationality in the same sentence. And as stated above, there is still the open question on what the nationality/religion of his parents have to do with an article about a footballer. -- Alexf(t/c) 17:57, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

national team

[edit]

Surely his years with the national team should read 2007-2011 instead of 2007- does anybody really expect him to be called up under jurgen klinsmann ever? there's johnson, bocanegra, castillo, chandler, and some players called in during the last january camp all in front of him. i highly, highly doubt we'll see him suit up again — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.90.163.211 (talk) 05:18, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
