Personal life
[edit]Why no mention of John Willard Young's marriages and personal life? I suspect these were the reasons he was not well thought of by the Church leadership and why he was never considered for promotion to President.
For example he married 19-year-old Christine Damcke in 1872. He went of to New York City and essentially abandoned her, so she eventually divorced him.
He was quite a lothario, at least based on the New York Times article of February 18, 1881, about his bigamous relationship with a socialite.
